Night Night

Sariah is starting to PLAY so much more lately. She loves to hug and kiss her dolls and teddy bears and tell them "love you". The other day she decided to go "night night" so she took her blanket and went to "sleep" on the couch. It was so funny because she played like she was sleeping for at least 15 minutes without getting bored. Of course, I grabbed my camera and took a picture.

Hair Cut

These pictures are really old but there is a reason they are just getting posted...I took Sariah to get her hair cut back in January so it would be really cute for Brian's wedding and took all the before pictures...


I then of course took the during pictures...


Then...as I go to take the AFTER pictures...my camera will not work. This was especially bad because it was only a month old (I got it for Christmas). Luckily, the girl cutting Sariah's hair had her camera and took pictures for me. I just got these pictures from her so here is the after...


I really did not plan on cutting it even close to this short but once the first cut was made nothing could be done to change it. It has turned out to be a really haircut and has grown really fast but it was still a huge shock at the time.

Happy Mother's Day

I want to start out by wishing everyone a belated happy mother's day. I had a wonderful day and was able to spend it with my mother which made it even more special. Being a mother has made me realize how much my mom did for me growing up and still does for me daily. I really do consider her one of my best friends and will forever cherish the friendship we have and the memories we share. I love her so much!!!
My mother's was also great because of the thoughtfulness of my husband. I was sitting in the kitchen when all of a sudden I saw...


...Sariah pushing roses in her shopping cart to me. It was so adorable. I am so lucky to have such a WONDERFUL husband and SWEET daughter.

Bath Time

We have been really lucky with Sariah because she has always LOVED bathtime. She would stay in the bathtub all day if we would let her. Well, the other day we asked if she was ready to take her bath. She ran off to the bathroom like always to wait for us. When I got to the bathroom she was READY for her bath...

She had climbed right in and was VERY proud of herself. She is also little miss organized and likes to line all her squirty toys up on the side of the bathtub. Then she tries to get all the letters on the walls so that nothing is in the water. It is fun to watch because she likes to have the animals a certain way.

Sariah's Favorite People (in the whole world)

...are definently her Grandparents(especially Grandpa). As soon as we get to Grandpa and Grandma's house, she goes straight to his office to look for him. She definently has him wrapped around her little finger. She has picked up the cutest thing lately where she will grab your finger and pull you to where ever she wants you to go. We were outside the other day and she grabbed one of Grandpa's and one of Grandma's fingers and pulled them over and had them sit by her. I of course had to grab my camera to capture these special moments of her with her grandparents.

Easter Dress

I know this is really late but I wanted to post some pics of Sariah in her easter dress. I loved watching her play outside the church...you could tell that she felt so PRETTY!!!

Easter Egg Hunt(s)

Okay so I know that Easter was a couple weeks ago but life has been crazy and so I am just getting around to loading the pictures onto my computer and getting this posted. I hope that you all had a WONDERFUL easter.
This year was so much fun. It was obviously the first year that we did an easter egg hunt and it was especially fun because Sariah's cousin, Grace, was here. It was also fun to do it at Grandpa & Grandpa Livingston's house so that there was a big grassy area to do it in. They were too cute collecting all the eggs into their basket. Sariah had the advantage because Grace did not like the grass. At one point, Sariah decided she was done looking for eggs and wanted to check out how many she got. She sat down and started taking them out one by one and setting them on the ground next to her. It really looked like she was counting them out...too funny!!
Since we did the hunt on Saturday before Grace left town, Jake was at work and missed it. So we decided to do just a little one at our place on Sunday after church. She had just as much fun doing it by herself but did not seem to move as quickly to gather all the eggs.

HERE WE COME!!!!!!!!! After TONS of hard work and a few rejections, Jacob has been accepted to Midwestern University Dental School for Fall 2008!!!! We are very excited to be staying in Arizona although it will be on the other side of Phoenix. I will have to adjust to not being so close to my parents but it will be good to see them on weekends. We will not be moving over to Glendale area until closer to when schools starts in August so that Jacob can continue working on his Master's Degree at ASU. He will finish this summer (just in time to start school again.)

DISNEYLAND

Last week Jake had an interview for USC Dental School in Los Angeles so while we were there we decided to take advantage of his Spring Break and go to Disneyland. We got two-day passes and had TONS of fun. My parents watched Sariah for us so that we could ride all the big rides and have some time to ourselves. This is the first REAL vacation we have gone on since our honeymoon so it was really nice to get away. This is apparently the time of year to go because it was not at all crowded. The longest we ever waited for a ride was 20 minutes and we went on most the rides multiple times. I have to agree that Disneyland is (one of) the HAPPIEST place(s) on earth. It makes you happy just being there. I felt bad for Jake because he had the start of a cold but he still made the most of our time there and was always the first to say "UNO MAS". (translation---one more for the movie ShangHai Noon.)

Of course, we also went to California Adventure since Jake had never been. We were crazy and went on the Grizzly Run which is a water ride. Well, we got SOAKED!!!! So...we walked all the way back to the car and changed clothes so that we would not freeze since out jeans were totally wet. Since I did not have an extra shirt, I sported a sweatshirt for the rest of the day. Even though, we got wet, I still thought the ride was a BLAST. I cannot wait to go back and take Sariah...she will have SSSOOOO much FUN!!!!

Our trip to Utah

I figured that I should update this blog since we have been back from Utah for over a week.

I first of all, I want to congratulate Brian & Becca. They are so STINKIN' adorable. It is wonderful to see them so happy. We are so glad that we were able to be at your wedding. Everything was BEAUTIFUL!!

While in Utah, we got to have a snow day!!! It snowed like crazy the day after the wedding. It was bad enough that church was canceled and we were really worried that Jake might not be able to fly home that night. Here is a shot of the sidewalk and just how much snow was cleared away from it.

Later in the week, I took Sariah out to play in the snow for the first time. It was definently an adventure and very fun to watch. At first she was not really sure what to do.

As she got more comfortable, she decided she would try walking in it. It was funny because the snow was so deep she would sink down in.

She had such a hard time walking in it that she did fall over and could not get up. She was stuck!!!

After falling over, she was done with the snow. She did not like her hands being cold and could not get the snow off them. She was not very happy!!!

We want to thank the Hill Family for letting us crash at your house. Sariah had so much fun with all your girls. I also want to thank Scott and Candice for letting me hang out at their house all week. It is so fun to have Sariah and Grace be able to play together and be so close together in age. It was fun to see all the family and spend some time with everyone. We are really excited to have Jason, Sarah & kids back in the U.S. Hopefully we will get to see you all again soon!!!!
