Easter

Easter was great this year for us. This is the first time that Jacob has been able to be home to help with the egg hunt, decorating eggs and just enjoy in the fun. On Saturday we headed to Midwestern for their annual egg hunt. It was raining so it was moved in doors and was an mad house. Sariah's age group was too full so they moved her with the 4-7 year olds. She got 3 eggs (2 of which were put in the basket by her parents). She also got to sit on the Easter Bunny's lap.

Later that night, we got together with the Armstrong's to decorate eggs. This was the first time for Sariah so she was not too sure what to do. She would shake her body instead of the bag. It was pretty funny to watch.

On Sunday, she came home from church and looked for her easter basket. She was so happy to find it. Of course she started eating the candy right away. Since the egg hunt at the school was kinda a bust for her, we decided to do one in our backyard. She had a great time.

For dinner, we got together with some friends from Midwestern and did a potluck Easter dinner. We had a great time and feel blessed to have made such wonderful friends.

The Little Mermaid

Sariah LOVES the movie The Little Mermaid but we unfortunately do not have it. She always asks to go see it at Grandpa's house and then is really sad that we don't go. The other day, Jake found a website that has the WHOLE movie. So this is how Sariah spent the afternoon...

Peoria Park

Last weekend there was a festival in Peoria and since the guys were busy studying, Megan and I decided to take the kids over in between conference sessions. There was a petting zoo (which we did not do), pony rides (which Sariah LOVED), and lots of little crafts for the kids. It was a lot of fun and I look forward to going again next year.
Sariah was the smallest one out there so the guy in charge walked be her most of the time.

Although she was brave enough to do it by herself too...she thought she was pretty cool.

Here she is trying to eat her sand candy that she made.

"Mommy, You Alright?"

I think I have traumatized my child. This pregnancy has brought quite a bit of morning/all day sickness. Sariah has walked in on me throwing up several times and is always VERY concerned. She will usually pat or rub my back while asking, "You alright? You frowing up?" She has starting running in to check on my every time I cough to make sure that I am not "frowing up". It has been really sweet and I have thought it was super cute that she is so worried.

Well...apparently it is traumatizing her!!! Last night she had been asleep for a couple hours and I heard her crying. I went in to comfort her and see what was wrong. I picked her up and asked her what was wrong. Her response..."Mommy, I frew up." Well, she had not so I am thinking she is having bad dreams about throwing up.

What have I done to my poor child???
