Tubes

Kenzli has been really slow to start talking.  At her 18 months appointment, she maybe had two words.  Then at her 2 year appointment, when she was suppose to have 50, she had maybe 5-10.  Her doctor said she had improved so not to worry yet.
Mother's intuition kicked in and I wanted her to be checked out for hearing issues.  So we were referred to a specialist.  He looked in her ears and immediately said she needed tubes.  There was so much fluid that she was hearing like she was under water.  She was such a trooper...she didn't cry when they wheeled her away but she had a hard time waking up.  She cried the whole time we were in recovery and most of the way home.  But when it came time to put drops in her ear, she LOVED it.  She would lay down and turn her head to one side and then the other side.  Didn't put up a fight at all!

Who would cry if they were being wheeled away in a fun car like this?
 SO SAD!!!
She would stop crying for a second and then see the pulse monitor on her toe and start crying again.
She was totally happy and goofy once she got home (FYI...she dressed herself)

In case you are wondering, her speech has improved but she is still behind.  Who cares though when your kid is this CUTE?!
