Sariah's kindergarten class has a pet that the kids take turns bringing home for a week. It is named Melvin the Monkey and luckily he is a Build-A-Bear pet! They get to take Melvin with them and have fun. Sariah loves arts and crafts so they spent LOTS of time coloring together.
We also went to McDonald's for FHE so Melvin could have a Happy Meal and play.

Sariah and her grandparents took Melvin to see the Lion King in theaters. THEY LOVED IT!!!
After the movie, they took a trip to Disney store to hang out...Where's Melvin??
It was a long and really fun week...Melvin spend each night just like this...Sariah loved Melvin and was so sad to see him go.
One part of having Melvin is making up a scrapbook with pictures and stories of what you did. Then you get to tell the class all about your adventure together. She loved being in Ms. McDaniel's chair and talk about everything they got to do.
She was so sad that she had to give him back. So much so that each week when he went home with another kid, she was sad and jealous. She decided to ask Santa to bring her her very own Melvin...he did not disappoint! She even got to go make Melvin herself since Santa gave her a gift card in her stocking so it would be more special to her. She loved kissing his heart and she even dressed him in the same cars pajamas.
She still loves him to pieces!!!
